Fields and Equipment Programs
NFL Club Matching Youth Football Field/Stadium Grant Program
Through the NFL Club Matching Youth Football Field/Stadium Grant Program, NFL club foundations may apply to the YFF for matching funds of up to $250,000 to either 1) create youth football fields/stadiums at their team facilities to be dedicated solely toward the support and development of youth and high school football; or 2) refurbish community youth and/or high school football fields located in respective team markets. Both NFL Club Matching Grant opportunities help to create a new level of community excitement for the game.
NFL Grassroots Field Grant Program
The NFL Grassroots Field Grant Program provides non-profit, neighborhood-based organizations and high schools with financial and technical assistance to improve the quality, safety and accessibility of football fields in underserved areas of NFL markets. A partnership between the YFF and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), the program makes available matching grants up to $200,000 for capital improvement projects including field surface grants and general field support.
NFL Youth Football Equipment Kits
The NFL Youth Football Equipment Kit provides youngsters in economically disadvantaged areas with an opportunity to play flag football. Each kit, which contains 48 flag belts, two footballs and two kicking tees, also allows youngsters to use flag football as a first step towards participation in tackle football. All 32 NFL clubs annually distribute nearly 1,000 kits in respective NFL markets.
